Diamond Head Trail Reopens Today
More good news for residents and tourists heading to Hawaii: after a month of doing maintenance on the trail to the summit of Diamond Head crater in Honolulu, including removing potential rockfall hazards along the trail, the Department of Land and Natural Resources has reopened the trail today!
The maintenance is the first phase of the state’s planned upgrades to the historic summit trail. Improvement and repairing of more sections will continue including construction of a loop trail connecting the Summit Lookout and the rest-stop landing at the top of the pedestrian tunnel.
