It’s Easy Being Green – Save on Car Washes
We here at Buy Hawaiian Seat Covers care about our environment but know it can be hard to go ‘green’.
That’s why we’ve decided to look for easy and simple things we can all do to help be a little greener because we know that little steps add up to big ones!
We’re going to keep our eyes and ears open and post green tips here for you when we find ‘em.
Today’s green tip is about car washes…
Did you know that washing your car at a commercial car wash is better for the environment than washing it yourself??
We were surprised to learn they not only use less water than washing you car at home, but that many of them actually recycle and reuse the rinse water!
Commercial car washes can use up to 100 gallons less water than we do at home and if every person who currently washes their car at home went to a car wash just once – we would save up to 8.7 BILLION gallons of water!!! Also, about 12 BILLION gallons of polluted, soapy water would be kept out of our river, lakes and oceans.
How easy is that?!?
